LITERATURE and SPELLING: Week of April 11-15

Hello, Fellow-Americans!

You will be continuing to work on your PowerPoint biographies of your Revolutionary "bigwig" this next week. You should have finished reading and taking notes on your full-length biography, and will need to get approval on those before you can begin your PPt this week. You won't have to do any reading for class except to take notes from at least two more sources for your PPt.

Your PPt will be due Friday, April 15. You will be making your presentations on Monday and Tuesday, April 18 and 19. Your READING LOGS are also due every Friday--some of you have been forgetting since the new 9 weeks began. And you will have a spelling and vocabulary test on Friday. You will need to spell the word correctly and match the definitions to the words.

If you can come to class by next Friday and be able to write an explanation of where the term "bigwig" originated, you'll get extra credit on your spelling test. I will not accept anything printed out from the internet. You'll also get extra credit for finding out who is with GW in the picture on this blog, where they are, and what the French word for "war" is.
