Bible Oct. 22-26

Memory Verse:

“Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace,
according to your word;
for my eyes have seen your salvation
that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and for glory to your people Israel.”
(Luke 2:29-32 ESV)

Last week we had our introduction to Simeon meets the Christ. This led us to a conversation about the temple in which this took place. We will carry on with our lesson on Simeon, but we will also be doing a little more on the temple since it will become very important when we reach our lesson on the Crucifixion of Christ.

Monday: Read Luke 2:25-35 from our bibles then complete the Proj. 1 Bible Reading worksheet. I will then teach you a version of the Song of Simeon or Nunc Dimittis to sing.

Friday: We will analyze the hymn tune "Angels from the realms of glory" and answer questions. Within the hymn text is a description of Simeon's encounter with the Christ.

Here is a short video clip of Jesus Presentation. Enjoy!
