LITERATURE: Homework November 15-19

Dear Students,

Your Literature reading homework this week will be to read the book you have chosen to supplement our study of the early colonization of New England. Some of you have a book about Roanoke or Plymouth Colony; some of you have books about the Wampanoag's. You should be finished with this book by this Friday, November 19, and should be able to write a short summary of it in class to show me that you have finished it.

That will give you next weekend, the week of Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving weekend to get your book report ready to present on the Monday after Thanksgiving holiday, November 29.

You can count this reading on your reading log every night. Reading logs are due on Friday, November 19. You will also have a spelling test over the following words:

SPELLING for Friday, November 19

1. culture
2. governor
3. descendant
4. heritage
5. resources
6. nationality
7. requirements
8. exchange

10. liberty

For Tuesday, you need to write each spelling word three times in modern manuscript. Due Tuesday morning.

For Wednesday, you need to use each spelling word correctly in a sentence that applies to our study of Plymouth colony. Due Wednesday morning.
