HISTORY: Week of November 28-December 2

This week in history, we begin to study the Native Americans of MesoAmerica--that area between North and South America, or Middle America. The oldest culture found in this area is the Maya, whose descendants are still alive today.

Each of you will have part of their history to research, an invention or something the Maya were known for having accomplished, a legend to read and tell, and one of the ancient cities to investigate. Your research will be "told" to the class--you may take notes as you go, and make a few PowerPoint slides with pictures you want to show the class. There will be no written component to this research project.

It will be due on Monday, December 5. Then, we'll move on to the Aztecs.

You will receive your research packet in class tomorrow. Here are some websites that may help you find some information.
