LITERATURE HOMEWORK: For Week of Tuesday, October 12-Friday, October 15
*You will need to read your Aztec legend and write a summary of its main points by Friday. You will tell your tale to the class without reading from your legend. You may use your summary.
*You will color your picture from Aztec primary sources by Friday, and use it as an illustration of your story. The god or goddess in the story matches your picture.
*When you choose your colors, refer to the sheet in your packet that shows the stones and gems from Aztec Moon, and use these colors as your color palette. These would have been the same colors and stones that the original Aztecs would have used to paint or carve their art!
*Be sure and read at home for 30 minutes every night. Your Reading Log will still be due on Friday, October 15.You don’t need to read The Amethyst Ring yet, but can read a library book. We’ll start The Amethyst Ring on Thursday night, October 14.
*There will be NO spelling or vocabulary test on Friday, October 15.
*Instead, spend the weekend and week studying for your HISTORY test. I will give you a practice test on Tuesday, and the real test on Thursday.
