LITERATURE & HISTORY December 10-14




Ahoy, Me Maties!

This week in HISTORY, we will be concentrating on finishing our layered books and learning more about the explorers, Cabot, Drake, Cartier, Champlain, Magellan, and Balboa.

In LITERATURE, we will be working on reading the last half of Treasure Island.  YOU NEED TO BE WORKING ON YOUR BOOK REPORTS AT HOME!!!

     Turn in layered books
     Turn in Explorers of the New World chart
     Divide into 4 groups:  The Vikings; The Spanish; the British; The French.  Each group will be given explorers’ cards and titles, and will have to place them on the world map in the areas they explored and colonized.  We will put up the Portuguese explorers together as an example.

         2. Finish sentences for vocabulary spelling word
